You may wonder why we updated the blend—after all, the original was a favourite. Due to new Australian regulatory changes, two ingredients had to be replaced to maintain Fem21’s functional food classification. Rather than compromise the formula, we took the opportunity to enhance it.

Here’s what’s changed:

• Gotu Kola replaces Withania (Ashwagandha):
  Gotu Kola is a calming adaptogen known for supporting adrenal function, promoting skin health, improving mental clarity, and soothing the nervous system—offering similar benefits to Withania with a renewed focus on harmony and resilience.

• Banana Fibre replaces Slippery Elm:
  Banana fibre provides a gentle, soothing action on the digestive system and, as a natural resistant starch, encourages the growth of beneficial probiotics.

• Upgraded Probiotic Blend:
  Each serving now contains 2.5 billion CFU from a robust mix of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus reuteri, and Bacillus coagulans, supported by FOS (fructooligosaccharides) for optimal gut nourishment.

We’ve also refined the texture and flavour by adjusting the lemon–ginger balance for a smoother, more enjoyable drink. Additionally, some whole herbs have been replaced with concentrated extracts to elevate potency and effectiveness.

Directions

Mix 1 scoop (approx. 10g) into water, juice, or a smoothie 1–2 times daily.

Precautions

• Not recommended with hormonal contraceptives such as the oral pill, implant (Implanon), vaginal ring (NuvaRing), or contraceptive injections (Depo-Provera) as it may reduce their effectiveness.
  ✔ Safe to use with IUDs (progesterone or copper).

• Pregnancy: Not advised after 12 weeks. May be used at a half-serve during the first trimester only if you were already taking Fem21.

• Breastfeeding: Not recommended while exclusively breastfeeding; generally considered safe after 6 months.

• Medication: Separate Fem21 from medications by at least 2 hours due to its high fibre content.

• Hormone-dependent cancers: Not recommended during active treatment.
